Ulysses: Jeanne d’Arc and the Alchemist Knight S01

The story takes shape in the 15th century, during the Hundred Years' War between France and England which ends with the victory of France. Montmorency, who is a noble son, studies magic and alchemy and becomes a member of the Royal Knights' faculty. However, when France defeats them, they lose everything. Now that they have lost everything and need a man, Montmorency, who had previously learned alchemy, goes to the village of a mysterious girl named Yvonne.
